Synopsis: “I want to have a baby before I die” follows the legendary filmmaker Larry Clark (Tulsa, 1943) in the process of creating his last film, in collaboration with Jonathan Velasquez, a young man he rescued from the streets of South Central (Los Angeles) 20 years ago. It’s a portrait of a close friendship threatened by a changing world. Filmed in Paris, Los Angeles and Guatemala, this is a film about the passing of a legacy, the nostalgia for a lost time, and the inevitability of social transformations that prevent the two artists from realizing their dream.
