RAFAEL MORAIS
Rafael Morais (Coimbra, 1989) is an actor and filmmaker. He trained at the Cascais Professional Theatre School and later completed his studies at the Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles with a scholarship from GDA.
Since making his screen debut in Um Amor de Perdição (Mário Barroso), he has appeared in numerous acclaimed films and international television series, including Bad Living and Living Bad (João Canijo), Magellan (Lav Diaz), Entroncamento (Pedro Cabeleira), A Cup of Coffee and New Shoes On (Gentian Koçi), as well as the Netflix series White Lines, Glória, and Turn of the Tide (Rabo de Peixe).
He has received two Portuguese Golden Globe nominations and was awarded the L’Oréal Rising Star Award at LEFFEST. In 2024, he won the Best Actor Award at the Prishtina International Film Festival.
As a filmmaker, he made his directorial debut with the short film You Are the Blood (2013). He is currently developing the short film Echoes and the feature film I Want to Have a Baby Before I Die.
